Mark McDowell
Mark McDowell is a much-respected painter, printmaking and fine art book publisher. He is a representational artist whose work is often a metaphor for a larger issue.
In addition to his paintings, he makes large-scale sculpture and props. His work has been reproduced as CD cover art, ads and posters. He has created commissioned projects for McDonald's International, Absolut Vodka, and Harkins Theatres, and his work is in many private and public collections. Tiny Satellite Press, his publishing company, has published fine art editions of such artists as Bill Schenck and Jay Dusard. SOCA Gallery owner Terri Rundle has collected McDowell's art for more than 10 years.
